Here’s Where Knife Control Is Being Passed

While the incidence of gun violence in America hovers around 1 in 750 being victimized, in Britain (which doesn’t allow private ownership of guns) their rate of knife related violence is double that. At one instance of knife violence for every 374 people.

Which is why liberals in the country ares pushing to get knives banned.

That’s right, even the chef’s knife you need to chop a big roast would look to be banned in the land of lunacy.

Guns N’ Freedom tell us what’s going on across the pond.

The program is called “Save a Life-Surrender Your Knife”, and this program is in full swing. The people of the UK are joining the trend to turn in all pointy knives.

The “Save a Life” initiative started at the end of this past August and “more than 800 knives have been handed in across the county – including swords, machetes and commando knives.”

The sad part of this is that they extended it a week due to its “success”. The Lancaster police department said, “Officers have now given their backing to a national initiative designed to raise awareness of knife crime and encourage the surrender of dangerous weapons. People can continue to hand in any knife at any police station with a front counter as well being able to drop them into the designated bins.”

This is the madness that follows complete submissions to gun control. Chefs in the UK are turning in their big knives. The bins to collect knives will be scattered around the UK to aid in the reduction of families affected by knife crimes.

The police said that they were delighted by the response, and happy to work with the community that demanded an end to knife crimes.

The British Medical Journal said that “Many assaults are committed impulsively, prompted by alcohol and drugs, and a kitchen knife often makes an all too available weapon”. The chefs agreed that short blade knives are all that is needed in the kitchen.

According to certain statistics in the UK, the rate of knife violence is approximately one in every 374 people victimized, compared with a rate of one in 750 people victimized by gun violence in the United States.

This is no spoof, but rather a model of what liberals and anti-gun groups would do if we all turned in our firearms today. I’m sure that arrows and big rocks will be soon to follow this knife ban in the UK.

You can be absolutely positive if the United States were ever to pass sweeping gun control measures like the ones existing in Britain it wouldn’t be all that long after they try this kind of stunt.

This is the mark of idiocy, not progress.

And if the U.N. were to ever bring these kinds of policies under their legislative umbrella it could spell the end of common sense worldwide.
