Amy Schumer, Sen. Chuck Schumer Call for Gun Control Legislation

Comedian Amy Schumer and her cousin, Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., again teamed up on Sunday to call for Congress to pass gun legislation.
Schumer and Schumer appeared on the steps of New York City Hall to call for legislation that would expand background checks, including ending a loophole in which firearms can be purchased at gun shows and online without such initial checks.
Amy Schumer joined the lawmaker last summer to call for new legislative measures. That appearance followed the shootings that took place at a theater in Lafayette, La., where Schumer's "Trainwreck" was screening.
Latest News Update
On Saturday the actress and comic tweeted that her recent HBO comedy special was dedicated to her niece and Mayci Breaux and Jillian Johnson, the victims of the Lafayette shooting.
Schumer also tweeted the hashtag #aimingforchange to support the legislative effort.
