Somalian Muslim Kills Three In St. Louis
The murderer, Ahmed Dirir, is a Muslim immigrant from Somalia and owned AK Home Health Care LLC, a business in the Gateway City. On June 13 he entered his business, started arguing with his employees, then pulled out a gun and shot them. Killed were 44-year-old Khadra Muse of Olivette, Mo., 29-year-old Seaeed Abdulla of St. Louis, and 54-year-old Bernice Solomon-Redd of East St. Louis, Ill. He then shot himself.
Dirir, Muse and Abdulla were all Somali immigrants. There are up to 2,000 Somali immigrants living in St. Louis.
The business was located in a “small business incubator building” created out of a former movie theater, one of those community outreach programs meant to bring small businesses back to lower income and mixed neighborhoods. The building is situated five mils south of downtown St. Louis.
People that knew the Muslim murderer said that he was never the same after a divorce from his wife, who now lives in Texas. They said his demeanor turned dour and sometimes violent after the end of his relationship.
Witnesses in the building report that Dirir had provoked loud arguments in his offices in the past.
