Trump Having A Hard Time Getting Performers--Here Are Eight

BOYCOTT: Here Are the 8 Celebs Who Shot Down Trump… Let’s Return the Favor

There are plenty of celebrities who are willing to be patriotic, so long as the Democrats are in charge. When it’s the GOP, not so much. That’s why we’ve heard plenty about celebs who are boycotting performing at Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremonies.
The GOP has been striking back, though, with NBC News reporting that Bristol Palin has gone as far as to call the biased celebs “sissies” in a blog post.
Courtesy of The Daily Caller, here are eight celebs who have turned Trump down. Is your favorite celeb among them?

1) Celine Dion

Her heart will go on, apparently, just so long as Trump’s not the president. While invited to perform, TMZ reports that Dion chose not to perform because she had a scheduled concert in Las Vegas. The Canadian-born singer apparently felt that apparently performing there was more important than performing for the newly elected president.

2) Elton John

The rocket man seems determined to rebuff Trump, as well. According to the New York Post, while the British musician was asked, his publicist said, “Elton will not be performing at Trump’s inauguration.”
3) Garth Brooks

The country music star had been approached about appearing, but had apparently declined an offer, according to The Daily Caller.
4) KISS

While Gene Simmons is one of our favorite rock stars, the rest of the band is apparently not quite as on board with Trump as Simmons is. The band has reportedly declined a chance to play the inaugural festivities.
Simmons remains critical of anti-Trump celebrities, however. During a December appearance on Fox Business Network, Simmons said, “I think celebrities should basically shut their pie holes and do what they do best — act, sing, tap dance … President-elect Trump is the president. You can like it, you can not like it. He’s the new president, that’s the end of the story.”
So, I don’t know. Maybe boycott KISS albums but get the Gene Simmons solo efforts? Your call, really.
5) Andrea Bocelli
According to the New York Post, Trump had personally approached the pop-opera star and asked him to appear. However, while it initially appeared he would accept, The Daily Caller reports that he has rebuffed the president-elect due to controversy.
“Trump has a long-standing relationship with Bocelli, and wants to ask him in person to perform. The plan is to have acts at the inauguration that are meaningful for Trump, and he’s a huge fan of Bocelli,” a source had told the Post.
6) Mormon Tabernacle Choir Member

While not necessarily a celebrity, The Washington Post reports that one member of the prestigious Mormon Tabernacle Choir has resigned after being told performing with the choir was mandatory for members.
“I’ve tried to tell myself that it will be all right and that I can continue in good conscience before God and man,” Jan Chamberlin wrote in a resignation letter, according to CNN. “I only know I could never ‘throw roses to Hitler.’ And I certainly could never sing for him.”
7) Katy Perry
Reports from The Daily Caller say that Katy Perry was invited to perform, although she was one of Hillary Clinton’s most visible supporters. This rejection seemed the least surprising. (But if you needed another reason to boycott the individual responsible for the song “This is How We Do,” which I personally believe to be against the tenets of the Geneva Convention, there you go.)
8) David Foster

According to People, Foster — a Canadian singer, songwriter and producer who has brought home 16 Grammys — was asked to perform at Trump’s inauguration. “I was invited to participate and I politely declined,” the 67-year-old said.
If these celebrities want to snub conservatives conservatives, they certainly don’t want our money. Please like and share on Facebook and Twitter if you’re not going to give it to them.
Do you plan on boycotting these Trump-snubbing celebs?
