It’s no accident that the difference in the popular vote between Donald
Trump and Hillary Clinton can be summed up in one word: California.
The leftist state is so tied to the Obama Administration that it has hired
former Attorney General Eric Holder has to advise the Democratic
legislature on any challenges they hurl at the incoming Trump Administration.
According to Fox News, California Senate President pro Tempore
Kevin de León and Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon stated solemnly,
“With the upcoming change in administrations, we expect that there
will be extraordinary challenges for California in the uncertain times
ahead. This is a critical moment in the history of our nation. We have
an obligation to defend the people who elected us and the policies
and diversity that make California an example of what truly makes
our nation great.” They added that Holder and his team will advise
“in our efforts to resist any attempts to roll back the progress
 California has made.”

One likely point of contention between California and the Trump
administration is federal funding of sanctuary cities, which Trump
 has threatened to terminate.
Speaking with the Los Angeles Times, De León said Holder
and his minions will concentrate on immigration, climate change,
the environment and voting rights. In normal circumstances, California’s
attorney general would lead the state’s efforts;  Gov. Jerry Brown
has nominated Democratic Rep. Xavier Becerra for the post.
But the Times reported that De León and Rendon have been
thinking of going outside the normal channels since Trump’s election.
Holder has a sordid history; in 2012 he was held in contempt of
Congress for refusing to release documents regarding the Fast
and Furious “gun-walking” scandal. He also lied about targeting
a reporter from Fox, and dropped a voter intimidation case
against the New Black Panther Party.
"We have an obligation to defend the people who elected us and the policies and diversity that make California an example of what truly makes our nation great.”
