An Indianapolis woman strongly suspected of residing
in the country illegally has been accused of driving
intoxicated and causing an automobile accident that
claimed the life of a Noblesville man this week, WTHR reports.

The victim, Dave Kriehn, age 66, was a former missionary.
Kriehn was returning home early Tuesday morning
from a long night of doing inventory at the restaurant
he managed, Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que, when the
suspect drove her vehicle into the rear of his, causing
his vehicle to roll over several times and killing him.

The suspect, Elizabeth Vargas-Hernandez, never even
held a driver’s license, according to WXIN.

His family was grieved, and his coworkers were saddened
by the loss.

“Dave was a gentle, caring man,” Harry Straut told
WTHR. “A good person. The guy you liked to hang out
with as well as work with.”

Meanwhile, viewers on the internet are appalled not only
by the loss of a man taken too soon from his family, but
by the fact that a woman who was apparently an illegal
immigrant not only was able to enter and reside in the
United States but that she was then able to do serious
harm to her community — like the man who killed Kate
Steinle in San Francisco in 2015.
